The other guy gave an appropriate answer of 8 228.57139 US gallons assuming you mean feet cubed but didn't give good enough information on his source. To answer all conversion questions, use Google Calculator.

sq feet is a measure of area (two dimensional) and gallon is a measure of volume (three dimensional). You can not convert from area to volume. If you meant 1100 cubic feet, then the answer is 8228.571 gallons.

I don't think you can do that conversion. Square feet is area and gallons is volume. You could do cubic feet into gallons though. 1100 cubic feet in gallons would be 8228.57 US gallons

1,100 feet² is a two-dimensional measure. A gallon is a three dimensional measure. Therefore, the question as is is asked is impossible to figure out.

Assuming you meant 1,100 feet³ (cubic feet):
1 gallon = 231 inches³ (cubic inches)
1 foot³ (cubic foot) = 1,728 inches³ (cubic inches)
1,100 feet³ (cubic feet) = 1,900,800 inches³ (cubic inches)

Set up a ratio, with x equal to the number of gallons in 1,100 feet³ (cubic feet).
1 gallon / 231 inches³ = x gallons / 1,900,800 inches³
231x = 1,900,800
x = 8,228.57 (approximately)

ANSWER: There are approximately 8,228.57 gallons in 1,100 feet³ (cubic feet).
