It's not human so you wouldn't be charged with murder, but illegally taking a non-game animal would be what you would be charged with unless you can prove self-defense.

No, you can not be charged with murder as bigfoot is a creature/animal, not a human. However, you maybe face public ridicule and harsh treatment from scientific researchers for killing a one of a kind, now extinct species. Plus you might face charges if bigfoot was ever put on the endangered species list.
