Doubtful, that is very old tech. now they have something better and improved. Nuclear missiles.
Even with half a brain those should never be used because then you destroy the area for a VERY long time like 10k years.
Sounds sick but Biological is the way to go. You can judge the amount of life the agent to do the job. Personally hope they come out with nano tech. In theory you could do more with the Nanos but you wouldn't have to kill anyone.
In theory - You launch a few missiles at whom ever Nanoes go out and say Paralyze everyone for 48 hours. Send in troops round them all up. Battle over and no fatalities.
Grim no matter what but now looking at if you had a choice between bad and worse which would you choose.

Sadly, yes. We used to have countries rushing to build up their arsenal in conventional war fares but these days, we have countries in an arms race to build up their nuclear arsenal.
They claim to be exploiting and refining uranium for "peaceful" purposes. We're talking about countries with many centuries grudge on another. Who's to say that upon completing their refining, they wouldn't immediately turn and start putting uranium in weapons with the sole purpose of wiping their grudged country off the face of the earth. That's only one scenario there are numerous instances where the atomic bomb could be used and sadly, I believe that somehow, somewhere, it WILL be set off and trigger a chain reaction from other countries that have nuclear strike-ability.....When that happens, we'll have no more future.
Don't let me get you down, I am just being a realist and making a prognosis of a potential future based on current and past events. If major countries get more involved and push to destroy the nuclear weapons that we already have, become tougher on those that chose to violate international law by exploiting nuclear weapons, then we're likely to all be doomed in the nearby future.

The atomic bomb is so out of date, that I do not even think we have any left. We have so many more powerful weapons in our arsenal, but I'm like you, I hope we never see them used.

I hope I am wrong, but yes I do.
I am extremely concerned that Mr. Ahmadinejad (Iranian President) or Kim Jong Ill (North Korean President), will either directly use a nuclear weapon or will supply nuclear technology to one of the terrorist organizations they support and that technology will be used either directly against Israel, or against a western target somewhere in Europe (probably London) or against a target within the United States.
These people are sorely mistaken if they believe that a terrorist attack using nuclear technology (dirty bomb or nuclear warhead) will cause Israel, the US, or our western allies to crumble. It is more likely to, have the unfortunate unintended consequence of full scale nuclear retaliation against the nation who enabled (if not directly carried out) the attack and it is doubtful that the UN will be consulted.

That's a tough question to answer. I assume you mean used in war, because they are set off for tests now and then, like in the recent North Korea test. I think it is possible now that a lot of countries have them, but I am with you, I sure hope not.

Interesting fact: more atomic bombs have been detonated in the United States than any other location.

Nuclear weapons now are a deterent, I would not expect one to be used in anger on any country because retaliation would be devastating and would consign the aggressor to dust bowl..
