No to both questions. The moon only orbits the Earth for 28 and 1/2 days. It never revolves and it does not have a time schedule.

Actually, since the same side of the moon always faces us, it revolves once every 28 1/2 days. To the person before me, yes it does spin, or we would see differnet sides.

Sarai has it right, the moons rotation is equally to the moons orbit about the earth. tidal gravitational forces have over time equalized them both. it"s an illusion that we here on earth don"t see it rotate.
