In my family Santa brings 1 package for each child unwrapped by the tree Christmas Eve. All the other presents are marked who they're from. Santas in the stores are helpers. The real Santa is never seen in public and Mrs. Santa is her husbands biggest supporter and back bone.

Santa sends a letter my child telling them if they were nice and to have a merry Christmas and on Xmas eve we leave an old skeleton key on the outside door so Santa can get in, because we don't have a fireplace( the key doesn't fit anything). On Xmas morning we have 1 or 2 unwrapped gifts under the tree and a stocking full of goodies. All other presents are wrapped with labels awaiting smiling faces.

Santa brings one present for each child in a very special Christmas box. Santa only brings the special present to those who believe in joy and miracles and keep Christmas in their heart. Yep, Santas in the store are helpers who bring news back to the North Pole.

we tell our children the truth . Santa is a myth , and Christ is the real reason for Christmas. We have the story out of Luke on Christmas eve , And Tons of gifts on Christmas. We like to bless as many people as we can.

Call me crazy, but I don't believe in telling my children that there's a Santa. I know I'm gonna get railed for this, but that's how me and my husband handle it. We explain to our girls that we are the ones who buy their gifts, and while some people believe in Santa, we don't. My four year old even told her Granny that she was "going to hell for lying to little children" about Santa! I couldn't help but laugh at the look on her face when she said it! After all, she was telling the truth.

That is how it went when I grew up till about 5th grade then they told us the truth (actually a kid in school told me the truth) but my parents agreed. Anyway we never had an unwrapped present though they were all wrapped and Santa brought our stocking stuff.

We didn't tell our children that there was a Santa. We treated the Santa story like all of the other fairytales like Cinderella & Peter Pan. Kids are smarter than we give them credit.
