I've got a Packard Bell Easynote laptop, which works fine when connected on AC power. However as soon as the power lead is unplugged the laptop cuts off, despite the fact that it says the battery level is 100% before unplugging.
Anyone have any suggestions, as it just makes my laptop unportable.

I think that sounds like a problem with the battery. Did you purchase an additional warranty? Is funny you say that because i have a acer aspire and it does the same thing??? I remember the store saying that the battery not covered under the normal warranty. Once my hubby went to the store for about a hundred dollars he purchased some amazing battery and that solved his problem. So i say first check your control panel look around there..uplug plug back in..look at warranty call store! Good luck..i know this is a pain because a labtop should be portable!!!!!!!!

Check the settings on your laptop. Laptops have a setting that tells them to shutdown when the battery charge reaches a certain level. Maybe your setting is set too high. If that doesn't work, I would recommend getting your battery tested.

Get a new battery. You might get one for $15 on eBay.
