The important thing to understand here is that when you're looking for the Y-intercept, what you are looking for is the point where your X coordinate is 0 - that is, it's on the Y-axis.
So, by setting X=0, 4x + 2y = 6 becomes 4(0) +2y = 6, or just 2y=6. Hence, y=3.
If you wanted to find the x-intercept for the same graph, set the Y-coordinate to 0. 4x +2y = 6 becomes 4x +2(0) = 6, or just 4x = 6. So, the x-intercept is 1.5.

4X+2Y=6
what you do first is to substitute the X with a 0 so:
4(0)+2Y=6
0+2Y=6
2Y=6
Now just divide 6 by 2 and get 3 as the answer

since the problem is 4x + 2y = 6, you have to make it 2y = 6 + 4x. so when the problem looks like that, its eisier to find out. I should know this, i did it yesterday. but its 6 im pretty sure. Are you homeschooled?

Start off by moving the X to the other side so it becomes:
2Y = -4X + 6
Then divide both sides by 2 to get:
Y = -2X + 3
Your equation is now in the form y = mx +b.
m is your slope
b is your y-intercept.
Your answer is b=3

4x + 2y =6
minus 4x from both side which you will get 2y=6 - 4x
Divided 2 from both side which you will get y=(6-4x)/2
So the answer is.... y=(6-4x)/2
