Would you date someone who admitted they were involved with porn? I know that most typical guys would immediately answer "Hell Yeah" and most women would answer "No"....but to those close minded individuals who are quick to judge...really think about the question...the person...and the profession.
This is just something i conjured up with some friends and wanted to see how most people think.

Well it would depend on the situation. I know a lot of people do porn for extra money. Typically when younger. Sometimes desperate situations call fro desperate measures. If I had met a guy who had done porn I would want to know why first of all? How long ago was the last time he done it. If he done it to help pay for bills or tutition in college and was a one time thing, than no big deal. If he had done it as a proffesion I would certainly want to know how long ago it was. I wouldn't date anyone who was currently doing it, or had within the last year. It would have had to been something in the past. Not present nor future. Why? It has nothign to do with the moral implications. I just simple don't share my boyfriends well. I would want them all to myself.

I have had my own interests in certain stars and if there wasn't such thing as STD's or inhibitions it wouldn't much matter. But for now it does. I am as concerned about getting something now as I would be passing it on to someone else.I would rather not be so compulsive and die in shame that way.I prefer to be more human than animal and hopefully it isn't too late. I pity teenagers who have to be subjected to the highest temptations with their young overactive libidos. I wonder how a prior porn star and an evangelical would do in a relationship?Is it really anyone elses business........ever? It would be embarrassing if anyone recognized it but who's embarrassment would it be then? The so-called professionals you speak of have usually been bad actors so that sounds typical to me. In another way it's like saying you're dating a professional drug addict.

Honestly, yes I would. To me it is just another job... and personally, I see nothing wrong with it. Also, a perk is they are safe, and tested continuously for STD's... so, it wouldn't really be like sleeping with a risky stranger.
I'm just an open minded individual though... and dating a porn star (or anyone involved in the idustry) would not be the worst I could do (or have done... in the past)

I can definitey understand a person's hesitation to date a porn star/actor. There are several pros and cons to being in a relationship with an adult industry performer.
pro - A porn actor/actress is probably very comfortable with their body and with sex. Since it's something they do professionally they will be aware of and comfortable with many aspects of sex and with the human sex organs. They won't be afraid to do it with the lights on.
con - An adult industry person is more likely have had many sex partners. This may or may not make you uncomfortable and deifinitely has to be taken in to account. Also, if they are still working in the industry they will continue to have sex partners other than you during your relationship.
pro - Adult industry performers have to be tested regularly to work. This means that your parter will be aware of and know how to prevent STDs. They will also be aware of their health and HIV status and will be more likely not to hide it from you.
con - While dating a porn star you have to be aware of your sexual health status and will probably have to get tested as often as they do. This means doctors visits and needle pokes once a month or so.
pro - porn actors are usually hot, right? So, if you date one, your significant other will probably be very nice to look at, in clothes and naked!
con - If you're the jealous type, fans and admirers of your sweetie may drive you nuts.
In the end porn people are just people too and they can make good or lousey significant others based on things that have nothing to do with their chosen career. If someone likes you and you like them and you make each other happy, nothing else really matters.

Well, I'm a woman, and I wouldn't let it stop me if the person was someone who had a personality and mind I could be attracted to, and values I shared. I don't find acting in porn to be that big a deal, although from what I've seen, most people in the industry aren't exactly "my type". But if I were to find a person, I would be totally okay with it if they had the attributes I liked- amibition, intelligence, kindness, humor, etc.
The only thing I would require was monogamy in their private lives and constant STD testing as well as safe sex between us (because you just don't know with porn).

I think you may be wrong on this idea that most guy's will say, yes. Think about this alittle, your g/f is su*king and fu*king all day, when she gets home, she is going to want a warm bath and sleep. I would much rather have a g/f that enjoys watching porn, that way I would be getting much more sex. I think the same goes for women and porn actor b/f.

Years ago when we had big family's on a farm, and only one bathroom, we all used to pee in the woods. Every boy sort of knew when a girl had her friend (period) to leave her alone. Like wise us gals knew how to kick a guy in the nuts when we had to.
But today, with small families, one child, one sex marriages, there is only one way to find out about sex, that is through the net. So I really feal sorry for all thest guys that have never been kicked in the nuts by a girl, or realize when his sister or girlfriendr has a period. It is ashame that the only way a guy can learn about a girl is through porn. That maybe life in the furture.

It's not something I would jump at but if I meet someone who I found out worked in the porn industry after I got to know them, I don't think I would stop seeing them.
But at the same time I'm not going around porn shoots looking for dates.

Of course. Every male virtually uses porn and enjoys it. Who cares? I had my first naked pictures of other guys when I was 13, I kept them in a shoebox in my ceiling. That was a long time ago, and oddly, I'm fine.
There is a wonderful video -- originally for or from a puppet show I think, that says it best. I have linked it below. It's worth a laugh, it truly is fun -- but it also is true.
Needless to say I am male. You are right.

No I wouldnt date anyone who makes porn....that is at least not anyone you would see on camera. "Involved" leaves a lot of options, I might date someone who does casting or makes up the funny little story lines, but not the over used girls in the films
