You don't give many details to go on, but depending on her grade and where she lives try www.connectionsacademy.com. It's a virtual charter school avalible in 10 US states. I work for the company, so I'm really familiar with the program. There is no out of pocket cost to the family, we're technically a public school so we're publiclly funded. Our students do lessons from home with the help of a parent or other adult and with a state certified teacher avalible by phone or e-mail.

Why would you want to send away your teen, troubled or not? Do you remember being a teen? Most are troubled in some way. If you send your teen away, your sending her the message that you don't want her around and that you'd rather her not be around than to help her deal with things. Kids need to feel loved even if they say other wise. What is the reason your sending her away???

Are you a relative of this teenager or just a caring adult? There are so many organizations out there nowadays to help you with this situation. My best guess is to find a mentor like the "Big Brother/Big Sister organization, or you can go to the school, I'm sure they can lead you on the right path to finding help for this young-lady... It really takes a lot to find a caring person such as yourself to want to take the time out and think of others. God bless you, and God will find help for you, just ask him... Take care, and stay encourage...........

I think you mean incorrigible, because encourageable would not be a negative thing most of the time.

Perhaps you and she need to meet with the school counselor. I don't know that you are going to find inexpensive help unless she runs away or commits a crime and is sent to a state-run home.

I don't mean to be glib, but you might consider contacting the Maury show. If she is incorrigible enough, you might get her on one of his scared-straight shows.

What state do you live in??? They are called Alternative Schools. I went to an alternative school, and they are ok. Just watch out because they have ALOT of freedom. I was able to leave school grounds whenever I wanted, all I had to do was get in 30 hrs a week in. They are better because you can get more individual attention that you need. I didn't have to pay for anything, just enroll like a regular school.
