There are some sinister photographers wanted to take advantage of young girls and pressure them into dodgy photos. There are also corrupt agencies which will try to get you to pay a huge signing fee, then pay for photos etc. Some agencies might also pressure the models to have cosmetic surgery, go on strict diets or change their hairstyle etc.
For others, it's the actual modelling they don't like - some people are pretty in real life but feel awkward in front of the camera, which shows in their pics.
Bear in mind that there's plenty of not so nice people out there, so for almost every career there'll be someone with a bad experience. But you can't let other people's opinions put you off. There's plenty of agencies and photographers out there, so if you really want it, go for it!! feel free to email me if you have any more questions x

I see no harm in becoming a model and especially if you have the looks and the body/poise to carry yourself well. I was a male model myself and had walked the ramp for some of the greatest designers - but that was a long time ago. As far as women who have tried it and hated it could be for a couple of reasons - their mental make up does not let them or they are not comfortable with the amount of flesh they have to show and the tremendous work that one has to put in - changing outfits in no time, looking always fresh, travelling all the time. It all takes a toll on your body.

i hate to break it to you, but even if you're the next Heidi Klum, Kate Moss, or Giselle, you probably won't get discovered for a long time, if you're lucky. There's not much of a chance you'll make enough to live off of it, it is like acting or singing. You could give it a shot, but I hope you're good at taking critisism and have a high self esteem.

I was in modeling,...I never found a problem with it,...
with one exception,...you change who you are to be like everyone else,...theres nothing wrong with that but if you are a very individualistic person it gets to you
Research your agent or future agent,..some do make sure to have size zero models,....some of us just are'nt that type for whatever reason,..also try talking to other models,...do they like what they are doing?

why not to because some people get a little to obsessed and want to be a little to skinny and a reason why you would enjoy it is because if you have the model figure why don't show it off its quite enjoyable so you go for it
