To all MMPR fans out there: How did Tommy lose his green ranger powers?

I know it was because of the green candle, but how did it happen? See, I've watched every episode of MMPR as a kid except The Green Candle part 1 & 2. Oh yeah... And also that episode where Kim breaks up with Tommy. I didn't get to watch that too. Do you mind telling me what happened. Don't worry, I ain't a retard. I'm just reminiscing here. Okay?

Okay, let's see how to answer this. First, about Tommy losing his powers. The first time it was because the Green Candle drained all of his powers away, it was due to one of Rita's spells. The idea was that she would get the powers however that was blocked since Zordon explained that the only way to block the transfer would be to surrender his Coin to another Ranger so Tommy gave his Coin to Jason. Later on Tommy's powers are restored but during the 2nd season he loses them completely since it was at the point where Zordon could no longer give any extra power boosts to him.

Now the 2nd thing. It was mostly just a winter-themed episode. Tommy, Billy and Kat going snow boarding (I think it was) since Kat and Billy were trying to help Tommy get over Kim's dumping of him. They also had to deal with a couple new machine monsters from the Machine Empire as well. One was capable of increasing how hot it was. The other I'm going to avoid explaining here since I think that monster might be in bad taste to explain about here.
