Lazy eyes need exercise. Spend 20 minutes every day looking up and down and from side to side.

Are you talking about the actual vision or about the physical appearance of the eye (sagging eyelid, brow, etc.). One of my relatives has amblyopia - their left eye, which looks completely normal, has vision of about 20/100 or worse. Says that nothing is blurry but it runs together - no spaces between words in a book? Their right eye has 20/15 (slightly better than normal) therefore, they use size to determine distance and are unable to "see" the Magic Eye-type 3-D posters. The problem is the optic nerve from birth usually, and there is no cure or surgery. Wearing a patch over the good eye to force the bad one to see can help younger people. My relative's went as high as 20/40 with contact lenses 10-15 years ago but is now back to around 20/100. Eyeglasses with the polycarbonate (very hard plastic) lenses are advisable if your cousin has this condition since they need extra protection over their eye that has the good vision. Good Luck!

When you indicate "lazy eye" are you referring to one eye strength weaker than the other or a droopy eye lid? If it's the weaker strengh eye, then the only cure for that can only partake during the growth stage of adolecence through puberty. In technical terms this is called "amblyopia" and can only be fixed if the person wear a patch over the good eye in order to "strengthen" the bad eye. The concept is to increase the strength of the bad eye by making it do all the work. Therefore, it is crucial to always wear a patch until the strength has reached the same level as the good eye.

Most people believe that once they are diagnosed with some vision problem and start wearing eye glasses or contact lenses to correct them, they will have to do so for life in order to see better. Those who want a permanent solution to improve eyesight typically resort to Lasik or other corrective eye surgeries. But you you can also improve your vision without surgery and can see perfectly well without using eyeglasses or contact lenses. You can check here to know how https://tr.im/33c02

I had a bit of a lazy eye and my optician put a prism in the lens of my glasses over the affected eye, it worked for me.

Surgery to straighten the eyes to let them focus together is the final treatment. The lazy eye should be covered several hours a day.

your child probably has ambleopia (sp). i have it. basically you need to find a specialist that offers an eye exercise program. at this point shes really probably not ready for it, but patching and sunglasses with one lense out can help but talk to the eye doctor.
basically she can start having depth perception issues. mine werent as bad as my sisters (i could drive at 16 etc), but if left untreated it can get worse. they caught mine when i was 2 and i had almost gone blind in my left eye, which to this day "drifts" when im sick or overly tired. my husband calls it my tell.
