i plan on buying an x-box for the family for x-mas (not the 360) i need to know what games are avialable for these catergories:

1. racing: any racing simulation games- Forza, Project Gotham i already know. do Grand Turismo and NFS: Carbon come on xbox?

2. younger sister, age 13 something along the lines of barbie or horses, or some simple kids games. (shes not a big video gamer, but i dont want to exclude her)

3. younger brother, 7 years old, Hot wheels stuff, blues clues, or just simple kids games.

if you know any games for these catergories, please list them. how much does an average xbox game cost these days?

1. I agree with most Grand Turismo and I like GTA's
2. the 13yr old girl i would say go with the arcade classic game packs. The ones with like frogger and ms pac man on one game disk. Barbie for a 13 year old starts to become a collectible and the game would be a waste after a few weeks.
3. the 7yr old boy Hotwheels is great and he will like Grand torismo and the arcade classic games also. I think the DDR games are great also to get them up and motivated..
Have a great Christmas and have a good New Year....

1. there are tons of racing games out there. NFS most wanted and Carbon are on the xbox 1.

2. There is a barbie horse game, not sure of the name something like barbie rider, ask a game store, they can help you. Barbie™ Horse Adventures: Wild Horse Rescue™ is the name of the game.

3. xbox 1 didnt really have kids games from what i remember. hmm *chin* there is a few you might can get cars, blinks, or antz racing. Just go to a gamestop or gamecrazy and ask around.

depends on if you get the games new or used.. platinum new are around $20, brand new are $50, you can get some used for as low as $6 depending on the title and how new it is.

If you like arcade style racing games I'd say go for any Need For Speed game.
NFS Hot Pursuit (Used: You can find it for about $8-$10. New: About $15).
NFS Most Wanted (Used: $15-$20. New: About $30)
NFS Carbon (Used $45. New: $50)

If you like simulation racing games go with Project Gotham.
Project Gotham (1). (New: $10. Used: $5)
Project Gotham 2 (New: $20. Used: $10)

Some other excellent racing games worth mentioning are:
Burnout. Burnout Revenge. Burnout Takedoen. Burnout 2. Sega GT.

For your little sister I would recommend, like everyone else, Barbie Horse Adventures. She may even like Karaoke Revolution Party.

And for your little brother I would recommend:
Star Wars Lego 1 and 2. (Very good games, I enjoy them and I'm 21 but they are still easy for kids)
There are a lot of movie games out like Antz, Shrek, Madagascar, Cars, Finding Nemo, etc.

You can go here and search for games, and you can even break the search down by genre, ratings and system. Note: The prices listed on the site are NOT current. Those are the list price when they first came out.

The thing about X-box the games are not geared toward the younger gamers. Games are typically shooters (1st person - you don't actually see the character, just the gun). War games, Call of Duty, SOCOM (more military).

Racing sims try the Forza Motorsport - retail $49.99

For the younger sister try, DDR - Dance Dance Revolution - retail $39.99 or Barbie™ Horse Adventures: Wild Horse Rescue™ $49.99

If you take a gander at the link below you can do a really good search based on the what you have above. Hope that helps!!

The Arcade would be unable to play unique Xbox video games out of the field. you're able to purchase a complicated tension for it and deploy the backward compatibility patch from Microsoft. or maybe then, the only video games that are particularly like minded with the 360 are those on the record over at Xbox/Microsoft's internet site.
