Ah, the second bout with Petey Piranha. This is slightly harder than the first time since he's out of range, but there is a way around this. You should notice some pinkish creatures around the area where you find him. If you start up your pump, one of them will attach itself to the nozzle. Keep the R button pressed down and use first person view to aim at Petey Piranha and release the button. This will send the creature flying towards Petey and wake him up. He will then take flight, so you need to hit him again with another of those creatures to bring him back down. Once he's down, the technique is exactly the same as it was before. But remember that he will take to the air again after each time you damage him. Three stomps on his water-filled belly should see him off for good.

When you get to the top of the cliff thing, you'll see him in the distance asleep. One of the pink creatures will attach itself to your sprayer. If you squirt, it'll be projected off. Aim your squirter at Petey and spray. The pink creature will hit him and wake him up, and Petey will start to fly around the little town. Watch when he flies around - he hovers over certain places. Stand under one of these places and wait for him. When he hovers over you, spray water at him to knock him down, spray some in his mouth and stomp on his belly. He will get up and fly around again, but he tends to go to the same places so wait until he comes back, spray him down and do the same belly pounding process. I think it takes 3 stomps to get the shine sprite. I love super mario sunshine!
