Does anyone still play the original Kingdom Hearts?

How do I get past the QUEEN OF HEARTS & HER CARDS? I've taken down the tower before & that didn't free Alice. What am I doing wrong? Any advise would be helpful. I've been working on this way too long.

When you enter the battle, hit the cards when they get too close and then hit the tower and knock it down, after you destroy it, the cage holding alice with fall to the ground and a cutscene should occur
