I am 18 yrs old going to be 19 in febuary and a quiet and shy person for the most part if i dont know a person.I like to go out occasionally and party just not like some other people i know who get falling down drunk.I not a prude i have had sex but i dont get whats so great about sleeping around and i want to be in a relationship if i do anything.Why do people find this strange in college.I find it hard to find dates. Should i maybe look for gut 1-2 years older than me?

you shouldn't apologize for not sleeping around. Actually you should be proud of yourself but that won't happen until years later. Just ignore what people say and stop looking. When it's suppose to happen it will. Don't feel bad because you have morals the people who don't are the ones who are out there screwing everyone and where will it get them. Once upon a time, self respect was taught and relished in itself.
It is not oddball to have the opinions you do, those who live otheriwse would just have you think so cos it makes them feel better about the slutty lives they are living.
Too much is assumed and taken for granted these days in regard to safety and risk.

you are young and you have so much time! don't worry about dating. spend your free time living your life, pursuing hobbies you enjoy, out with your friends, and in time you will meet someone compatible to you to date. if you are happy you are more likely to find some one. if you are actively looking, you may seem desperate, which guys can sense and avoid from a mile away!
