The purpose of this trip is to purely have some fun, meet plenty of ladies, and see parts of the country I have never seen before. I want a trip to remember visually.

Weather wise you're better going to Miami. If you're planning to drive trying to get through the plains states and over the Rockies during January can be quite an experience. If you're flying it won't matter. I love the Los Angeles area, there are so many things to do but January it can be pretty chilly especially on the beaches. Miami also has tons to do and the weather will probably good enough to go to the beach. South Beach is really exciting and fun, lots of people to look at, lots of restaurants and if you're of age, lots of bars.

LA's kind of cold in January (not as cold as MI, but not as warm as FL). LA is also spread out, so it can be difficult if you don't know where to go.
I went to Miami with a girlfriend for the same purpose and had a great time. Go to Miami Beach for a few days, and then rent a car and drive down to Key West for a few days.
Also, Vegas can be fun for booze and broads, but I'm not promising quality. You can spend a couple of days going to clubs on the Sunset Strip, then drive out to Vegas, stay on the Strip, and fly home from there (the road trip is fun, too).

Definitely Miami. Its warmer, cleaner, and a lot more fun. The eye candy is great too. Visually, hands down - Miami. As a well traveled person, I have to say the landscape and the water is beautiful and you are a short trip from many places like the keys. If it rains, its never for very long.
