NO. lime wire is a file sharing network that is legal. some copywrite laws maybe in question when downloading protected material.only download non cw stuff.and virus scan everything it is bad for viruses

First, I assume you mean illegal?. No, it is not as I have had it on my computer for a very long time. I have the Pro version which allows for a turbo-charged search providing faster responses for whatever you may be looking for over a much wider spectrum than the free version.

LimeWire is not illegal, but the copyrighted content on LW is, so be careful! (by the way if you have basic, save $18 buy going to programs and downloading pro)

The application is not, but some of the content is copyright protected, so if you download protected material, you are in infringement of the law.

The actual program isn't illegal, nor are any other peer-to-peer file sharing programs illegal. It is the copyright infringement that you commit when you upload files to other users that is illegal.

yeah because u are supposed to PAY for the songs, not download them for free!! And be careful, i heard u can get lots of viruses on your computer from downloading their songs
