My job consists of proofing policies (checking deductibles and coverages before they go out to the insured) and I send back if it has mistakes, mail out if none. I process cancellations & reinstatements, conditional and non-renewals, and prep stuff to go out in the mail. I also prepare questionnaire packages when policies are up for renewal. Oh yeah, I work in INSURANCE.

What would my position be called? I know it is something clerical, but I am trying to match job descriptions. The work I do is very broad and they fit into different categories. How do I find what my average salary should be?

Do you handle all kinds of insurance or a specific insurance like medical insurance? I would look for something like Insurance Specialist. I'm a Billing Specialist, and there isn't really any other name for what I do b/c it's a little bit of everything.
