I have not filed for bankrupsy, but I am finacially struggling.
Do you know me,
Do you know where I spend my money? So why do you have an ASSUMPTION that I am a glutton. It's not only medical bills, what about widowed mothers, that still have children to raise, or those dead beat parents that run off, and leave the other parent stuck raising kids.
No shame, 90% of american's are in debt, I actually indulge in nothing. My money goes to bills I HAVE to pay in order to NOT file for bankrupsy. It's not my fault these big bussinesses charge an arm and a leg for everything. I just got into the world working bairly above minimum wage.

Put your self in some one elses shoes before you judge people...shame on you!...lets just say this is your life, your living very happy and comfortable married to a great man with a great job you have every thing you could want then one day out of no where he up and dies...your left with all kinds of bills and there was problems with his life insurance which caused you to have to wait and wait for it to pay out, not to mention the stress of losing your soul mate and best friend...you work and have a descent job but he was the one making the big bucks...before you know it you are behind on your bills you do your best to stay caught up,but you notice that it's impossible to keep living this life style and can't afford you house and car payments anymore, you finally decide that through all your hard work efforts and debt consolidation that you just don't have enough money to go around...sometimes your only option is to file bankruptcy,i don't think people just do it unless it's necessary, now i know people make mistakes and live beyond their means sometimes but you never know until your in their shoes so next time you start judging people why don't you think about this first you never know what someone is going through on the out side looking in!

I have never filed bankrupcy, but there are a lot of people who do very well on managing their finances, and do not live like gluttons.
There are some people who encounter a life threatning crisis that causes them to fall into debt.
This could happen to anyone, because life does not offer us a guarantee.
SHAME ON YOU!!!

Lots of people file for bankruptcy but it might not be through their own fault. Divorce , failed businesses ect don't blame them i'm sure some people are bad with money but not eveyone.

Nice......did you know that 75% of people who file for bankruptcy do so because of medical bills?! Imagine having no insurance, you have a heart attack, and you have to be rushed to the hospital. Do you know what they charge??? Expect $100,000 baby. So it isn't gluttony for most people, it is NECESSITY. Shame on you!

Forgive me for having a kid with major health issues that my insurance wouldn't cover. When your child has to take almost $1000 worth of medication every month and your insurance says "sorry we can't help you", what else are you supposed to do? Don't talk about things you don't understand.

Most personal bankruptcies nowadays in the U.S. are caused by the catastrophic death of someone whose medical bills make it impossible to pay back. Be thankful it hasn't happend to you.

I've never filed bankruptcy, but my niece has. One of her children was diagnosed with bone cancer and the costs of treating that disease wiped them out. Before that, they had been living within their means.
Shame on YOU for being so judgemental, hon...
