If you're not unhappy with your job or your pay, I say go ahead and keep the job you've got. Even though the unemployment rate is down from last year, the market is still not that great, and you may find that the job you get is worse than the one you have now. I understand feeling compelled to find a job that better suits your talents and education, because I'm faced with the same thing myself. Here I am with a Bachelor's degree in Communication, practically fluent in Spanish as well as English, and I'm answering phones and working on repetitious projects that a trained seal could probably perform. Yet, I'm happy with my office, my co-workers, my location (the pay could be a little better, though), but I've had it happen so many times where I trade in a job I rather like for one that turns out to be a disaster, just because I feel that it's a better career move for me. What I would suggest is sticking with your job, but meeting with your direct supervisor to see if there are any advancement opportunities for you within the company.

If you're not happy, stay with your job until you find one that pays the same or more. I switched, and I couldn't be happier!
