Depends on where you live. Check out the papers for how much rooms cost, then figure the eating allowance and go from there. But expect a free spirit in her as a return..you will have no control of her except house rules. And just because she earns 700 per month does not make for much take home pay.
Seems to me that 200 a month should do it on that kind of pay.

The experts say that if there are 4 people living in a house she should be paying 1/4 of the total of all the household bills. She is earning good money so the minimum amount you should charge her is £50 weekly (and that is really too little).

Depends on how much you need the money. I paid less because my parents didn't need the money but if money's tight then you can warrant asking for more. If it's only for the sake of responsibility then I think $100 is fine. Maybe you could charge her extra and save the money to give her when she decides she wants a car? By not telling her what you're doing it would come as a nice surprise when she finally realises how much they actually cost!

I would sit down and do the math. How much does she eat. How much time does she spend at home compared to the electrical? She should help with utilities at the very least. $700? She should pay 1/3. This all depends on the size of the house and family of course.

If she has absolutely nothing else to pay for, then it can be assumed you are picking up all the bills. She should pay you £50 per week or £200 a month. She could still save a fair amount each month with enough for clothes, fares and socialising.

what else does she have to pay for, pretend you are her and write up a budget, if she is responsible with her money and really does buy things she needs with it, keep her upkeep low but if shes just going to throw the money away on crap, charge a little more and put a portion of it aside for her to have since she cant save money herself. Is she buying her own food? paying insurance or payments on a car? credit card payments? gasoline? In the real world, people put about 60% of their earnings into living costs, charge her that. If shes a teenager, this could be a really valuable lesson on what a dollar is worth. It could also teach ehr budgeting skills that are necessary for when she does leave the nest.

It depends on how much you provide i guess. When I first started work and was still living at home I used to give £25 a week (this was ten years ago mind so I am sure it would be more now!)for board, but I paid for and prepared my own food , and did my own laundry etc. If you are providing food etc be sure to factor that in.

I would only charge her $100 a month so that she can save some money for when she wants to move out. If you take too much she will be stuck living there forever. She also needs to be able to save for a car. I realize she cant live on her onw on $700 a month but meanwhile she can be saving for the day when she does get a better paying job.

It really depends on if she has bills. If not, I'd say $150 is a fair amount for: food, elec, water, phone, cable/satellite tv, internet access, and gas.

You could always charge $100 and have her buy her own food to get a feel for the expense of living.
