I like to wear a elaborate Jar Jar Binks costume and mask as part of my every day life. I went to the grocery store, and saw how depressed everyone was so I thought I would help. I started dancing in the aisles, and yelling at people, and running up to people and taking things out of their cart. It was great fun. Then when I went to check out, there was only one lane open and a long line. I screamed and screamed while in line and danced, bumping into other people. I opened a box of baking soda and threw it around. Finally I got to the checkout. I started making noises at the cashier, and I kept pressing buttons on the computer. Some people in line were groaning because the line was getting very long, but that gave me even more incentive to make them laugh. I climbed onto the table and started kicking peoples groceries on the floor and singing. The manager and one of his goons pulled me off and said I could never shop there again. Can I sue for harrasement or possibly assualt?

I`m not American so sorry to butt in , some one was saying that the government tries to hype up the threat of terrorism so that people don`t pay attention to all other kinds of dodgyness thats going on .I think this is true ,the same thing is going on in the uk and it`s used as a means to make people accept the way our freedom is being taken away . fear is the easiest way to control the masses ,this was proven by Hitler .i know the threat of terrorism is real ,but we have had terrorism here for the last 30 years and in every major city ,but we used to be told not to panic .the whole Iraq thing has turned out to be a pack of lies and the more we go barging into other countries the more reasons they have to hate us we are making what we fear most happen .

It needs to be made clear it will never work to achieve their goal, and that response will be proactive, that if we aren't safe minding our own business at home, there will be no safe haven anywhere anytime for this who plot and attack us. Literally "The best defense is a good offense", "Never let the enemy choose the battlefield" and "only a fool fights a war in his own backyard" all applies to this situation. In the Cold War we dealt with a nation that competed with us for influence, but did not want the suicidal confrontation that Mutual Assured Destruction promised, now we are dealing with suicidal fanatics that policy does not work on. It's not a case of "if" we fight them, but simply where and when. I wish they would give it up, go home and leave us alone, but I'm not willing to surrender or submit to them, as a descendant of Robert Bruce I concur "Better dead than be a slave!"

In the UK the threat is used by Blair to divert attention from the sleaze and corruption of his goverment, obviously there is a threat due to his lies on Iraq but he plays it up when other things are bad, remember the tanks at Heathrow a few years ago - pure theatre so he would look tough. We now know it for the "hoax" that it was.
An obvious solution but one which Blair is too weak to carry out is to send terror supporters and illegal immigrants back to their home country

I try not to think off it, but I think they are just waiting until our defences are down before trying another big attack. It is only a matter of time before they hit England, it could be years but it will happen. I think I would be more worried if I lived in London as I think that will be the most obvious target. Unfortunately it will be innocent people who are targeted. The present politicians who are responsable for the heightened threat will be long gone, working in cushy jobs in the european parliament.

To be honest, we receive so many empty threats from them each and every day that I'm not sure, ever, what to think about them anymore. I suppose I've adopted an attitude of, "Yeah...I'll deal with it when it happens..." It all reminds me of kids in a playground tossing insults back and forth with everyone going home in the end to rest up for the next day of tormenting each other.

I think we are safer from "terrorists" than we are from George W. Bush right now! To stop another 9/11, we need to keep people like him out of the oval office!

All that FBI and whoever it was didn't know about 9/11????
And now the terror alert is on all the time... sorry, but something fishy in here. I am watching myself all the time because I cannot trust any more for all that overpaid government who are responsible for all that mess in the first place

I think that the US needs to finish the job in Iraq and then devote some serious time to hindering the ability the international network to act. This includes, but is not limited to taking action against Iran, N. Korea, and other enablers of terrorism even if it is perceived as politically incorrect by the UN (at least half, if not more, of which is controlled by interests that are simply not friendly to the US).
