Their record would be about the same, with the injuries and the Merriman suspension. Rivers is doing great- though he's not quite as good as Brees yet, he's not far behind (and being younger is better for the team long-term) In a few years, Rivers might actually be better, but that's anybody's guess. Right now Brees is probably the 2nd-best QB in the league behind Manning.

Drew Brees is a fantastic QB and has been doing great with Saints because they have a better ecieving corpse including: Marques Colston, Joe Horn and Reggie Bush for screen passes. San Diego would not be undefeated because of their Defensive Injuries. San Diego did not deserve to win against Bengals but did deserve to win against Chiefs. The offense has been doing great withou Brees because of LT.
