I've had my nostril pierced for about 4 years now. I'm not saying this to frighten you but of the various 16 piercings I've had, this one for me was the most painful. But as some others have said, it varies from person to person. Some people don't feel so much as a pinch. It varies on pain tolerance as well as the nerves in the area.

When I have a cold, once my piercing healed over there hasn't been any problems. I don't even notice it what so ever. But if it's not healed, the piercing may become a little bit more tender but nothing that's unbearable.

If you want to remove it permantly, most likely it will close up, but once again it varies for each person. I had my lip pierced and removed it 5-6 years ago and I can still fit small gauge jewelry in. So yes, there will be a mark. It would resemble a large pore if anything.

I would get your facts and decide for yourself. I wouldn't say you'd regret it if you educate about yourself about the piercing like you are already trying to do. And besides, if you don't like it, you can always take it out. Whether or not you mind having a small mark for the rest of your life is up to you. Good luck!

Pain varies from person to person. As with all piercings you will feel something. This piercing is somewhat comparable to an ear cartilage piercing and your eyes will probably water. Overall, the piercing is done and over with quickly and is a tolerable pain.

The after effects are a sore nose for 5 days to 2 weeks. If you get a cold, often your nose will hurt, but you will have to keep the area clean and use care while blowing your nose until you adjust to it. Few problems should arise if you take care of your piercing and have it done by a reputable professional piercer.

If you took it out, there would a hole there for a while until it healed over. Healing time for something like that varies greatly and a time frame cannot be determined. Once it heals, there will be a small dot like scar, but its not that noticeable overall.

I think they look cute as long as you have a delicate nose. Either with studs or hoops, I like nostril piercings. But my opinion is not what matters. What does matter is if you like and want it done. Do piercings for yourself, not because others want you to.

I would say no because you will regret it like other people said. My cousin got it done and there's a hole in his nose now and it doesn't look right. And, if you have a cold that would be bad. It gets gross stuff all over the nose ring and your nose can get infected, which hurts from what I've heard. No matter what you decide to do, make sure it's the right decision for you! :D

Good Luck!

if you think it would look good on you then go for it. they look pretty. and when you take it out you can bareley see the hole and if you leave the nose ring off for a long time the hole closes. i know because my mom has one. it doesnt really hurt when you get it, it's just a little pinch. there arent really any affects you just have to take care of it. you should get a small diamond they are soooo pretty.

Your nose is a lobe much like your ears. Piercing it is just like your ears. It feels the same and heals the same.
I have had mine done about 5 years and don't notice it on a daily basis. I take it out to wash my face and there is a small hole but can be covered with make up pretty easily. You don't even see it unless you really look.
The biggest fall back is work, is your employer understanding about that kinda thing.

Seriously, it really hurts. You might get an infection. Plus, you'll be a fashion reject for the rest of your days. If you really really really must get a piercing, please wear only a tiny silver stud, tiny tiny tiny and i mean tiny. Think Kelly Clarkson!
