I think I had the chance to do so for my country when I was younger, but I am past my prime now. In my mid 20's and just play football 4 fun. Hmmm, female footballer of the year?? I don't see it happening anytime soon, since the female side of football is not as developed, popular and not as talented (relatively) as regular football.
