our focal theme is science for rural development. if anybody knws a good topic then plz tell me tht.

I don't know if this would fit within your topic but (and I know it sounds strange) I once read some really interesting stuff about how barbed wire was absolutely essential to development of the western US in the late 1800's. Without it, large areas of land wouldn't have been settled as quickly, cheaply, or easily. The entire ranching industry as we know it never would have emerged. Anyway that's one idea. Hope this helps.
