You can not get high speed internet through the phone. You can get a service called DSL over phone lines. It has nothing to do with your phone though.

That would be DSL, Yahoo! or AT&T, and some other companies that offer high speed connections through your existing phone lines. Faster than dial up, but for the most part slower than cable, and especially fiber. Go Verizon :D.

I live in the UK and I get high speed internet through the phone line.I use British Telecom for my phone and broadband internet connection.But there are many other different providers of this service.

Try DSL, you can get a lower grade DSL through Yahoo and it is still pretty fast, they do have a higher speed one for a few bucks more.

Call your local phone company and ask if they offer DSL in your neighborhood. It's not available everywhere.

You can't. That is called dial up, which is not high speed at all. You have to get it through cable.
