The Democrats help was minuscule compared to what Republicans Bush and Rumsfeld did. This was not a Democratic victory, it was more of a Republican demise.

I couldn't name the three democrats that helped, but I can name 3 Republicans that helped with the democratic victory:
1. Donald Rumsfeld
2. Dick Cheney
3. G.W. Bush
I think people got sick of what they saw as the "boys club", and they saw a bunch of sitting and pointing, and not enough doing. Not to mention they saw a lot of things they didn't want getting implemented because of money as opposed to public opinion. So I think the Republicans gave this election away, and the Democrats know it.

I know that John Edwards and others raised money to help get Democrats elected in their districts. Thank goodness !
