Yahoo doesn't give you a choice - all tiebreakers are decided by overall winning percentage, then total points scored, and head-to-head record doesn't play any role in determining the winner.

It depends on how your league is set up, but in my yahoo league, if two teams have the same record, they usually give the advantage to the team who has scored the most total points throughout the season. Its possible that some leagues go by head to head matchups between the 2 teams that are tied, but most overall points is probably what you want to focus on. Good luck!
