I shave my head and cut myself sometimes. How do I prevent scabs from forming? I shave before going out on weekends and this becomes a problem. Any cream or ointment that anybody can suggest?

don't shave use a depilatory cream. no scabs no knicks no worries. MAGIC works nice. you can usually find it at Black hair stores.. You know where the ladies buy the braiding hair.

oh and you can't completly avoid scabs because they do serve a purpose but you can use the little tp blots and stick it on there it is pretty much the scab for your body when the bleeding stops you can take it off and the scab isn't so thick. but good luck with that.

Scabbing is a necessary part of the healing process, it helps prevent bacteria from getting into the wound. I don't think you can prevent them.

You can't prevent them, but you can keep them from getting infected. Don't pick them. Put some antibacterial ointment on them right after you cut yourself. Try buying small circle bandaids and stick them on your cuts.

Maybe instead of using a razor to cut your hair try a shaving powder no razor necessary. Just wipe clean with a butter knife and rinse.
