I found that a personalized coffee cup or mug is great. You can find them on e-bay fairly inexpensive. It shows you actually bought the gift for that person and put some thought into it. I also like to go to Things Remembered in the mall. They have some really good specials there and you have their name put on it. Good Luck and Merry Christmas

From my experience these things always go wrong and I have stayed away from them. But my last job before I came to the UK, everyone in the company placed three things they wanted on a piece of paper and then we did a draw. In that way if you picked someone you knew exactly what they wanted.
Not sure where you are but if you are in the UK. I would suggest a voucher from Next, H&M, M&S or New Look, don't think you should go wrong there. You did not mention if there was a price limit.
Good luck hope it goes well

A simple smellies set, the type of thing all set in a small wicker basket with body lotion and bubble bath, in it.
A fiver should do. Co-op chemist do a good 5.00 or less range.

Past experience has taught me to always buy people alchol whenever there's a secret santa at work. No one's ever diappointed to get alchol.
Ask around & find out what she likes to drink.

Do what I did for a guy I became friends with last year and didn't know that much about, buy a x-mas coffee mug and some candy and put it in the mug and wrap it up in a christmassy color plastic wrap with a hand-tied bow, sure to please.

I think she would like an Ice Cream Ball. It is a really neat way to make ice cream. Who doesn't love ice cream?

Get something impersonal but universal, like smellies, edibles (food or drink) or a voucher or something (unoriginal but hey you won't disappoint that way).
Either that or 'stalk' her (and by that I don't mean literally but by asking around or something, subtly) and try to find out her interests.
