I'm Egyptian,
negative sides:
1.If you try to climb it , the security will stop you
2.I guess it's not safe for you to climb the pyramids because you get unconscious there from the high elevation
3.If you are afraid from high elevations you can fall down and your bones will be crushed.
4.You would climb everest better (lol)
positive sides:
1.You will see mystery holes in the pyramids that were used in the past to light the kings' head in his birthday and death day automatically (Egyptians were great engineers)
2.If you have a compass you'll be sure that the pyramids are the largest compasses in the world as they are oriented to the compass sides.
3.nice view of Cairo.
4.Nice experience
When you climb it tell me : mina_science@yahoo.com

I was in Egypt a couple of months ago, and they will not let you climb to the top of any of the pyramids on the Giza plateau. If you have a guide & a tip for one of the tourist police officers, they will usually let you climb up a little bit, but not all the way to the top. If you just started climbing and didn't try to give one of the tourist police some sort of tip, they would just tell you to get down, and they would probably just ask you for a tip if you want to climb. These "tips" go a long way in Egypt.

I think technically you aren't supposed to climb the pyramids, although when I visited there were certain security guards that would allow you climb in particular areas to for a small "fee" (meaning bribe). I don't know if you'd be able to get all the way to the top, though, depending on the pyramid. There are tons of different pyramids--we climbed a small one (one of the queen's pyramids) without any problems, but it was very small...more of a rubble heap actually. A friend of mine got in trouble with the guards for climbing on stuff at one point, too. If you decide you want to climb, proceed with caution. You might have more success at one of the less famous sites (rather than at Giza, for instance).
