After that you need to pay a monthly subscription. Price per month here in the UK is £8.99 if you pay by credit card on a month by month basis; or you can use gamecards for 60 days playtime which cost around £17.99.

yes you have to pay a monthly fee. You are paying because they have to maintain servers where your characters, guilds and world reside on. You do pay for the game but it costs millions to have servers that run your game on. Think about how your city collects taxes on houses and cars you already own in order to keep the roads smooth, gutters clean, and streets plowed. But do not buy this game if you are not ready to give up your social life. I am serious it is addictive. I have seen friends lose themselves in this game. Just say NO! Unless you have the time of course :)

You get a free trial for ten days if you dl it off the net... then you must pay 20 bucks to buy it and a month of free gameplay. If you get it at a store you install it and you have 1 month of free gameplay from there on you must pay a 15 dollar fee after your month is up.

They have a damn cheek making you pay to play the game after you buy it.I mean you pay for Internet access and then you have to pay for playing the game.It would make your blood boil.
