i have set up my second hdd as a slave but when i go into my computer highlight it and takes me to the drive. All my info is there and not in folders i put things in folders i.e music in folder called music. then i will click on that folder to open it that works then i try and play a song from within that folder and it dont work any ideas and thx.

i have several codec packs and finders
several media players
and they are both ntfs.
i dont just use it for music films and word documents are on there aswell pictures.
all with a folder for each type n they all do the sa,e thing

make sure it's the same file system ntfs or fat32 they should be the same or you might just need a codec

The Ans is Yes ! you can put ur files on ur second hdd,

First you should check ur music files are associated with any of the players that you have, this will simply solve the problem, to do this just

Right click on ur music file(s)

Select open with

Select Choose program

Select Windows Media Player

Choose it as default player

and check all of ur files are not hidden

Do you have a program that will play the music files? If not, get one first. Try opening your audio player (Windows Media Player, WinAmp, etc.) and go to File-->Open and browse to the file you want to play and try playing it that way.
