Go to Internet Explorer ->Tools->Reset Web Settings
Also Go to: Tools->Internet Options->Advanced tab and click Restore Settings.

What part of Internet Explorer? Which version 6 or 7? If you look under Tools > Internet Options > Advanced there is a "default" button that resets a lot of things. But without knowing exactly what you want to reset, that may not work...

Better turn your automatic updates off, too. Otherwise, it will be updated back to ver. 7. What I don't understand, is why you'd throw away the new security features for a less reliable browser?
