Well, it's hard to give an unbiased answer when the question asks "what is your opinion," but here goes...

I don't see anything wrong with gay marriage. I think that if it is welcomed to our society, eventually homosexuals will be more comfortable in their own shells. I don't know anybody who would choose to live a life in which there are millions of people who hate them and want to hurt them physically or verbally... or even just be ignored by the ones they love. If homophobia was less prevalent, I think there would be less gay teens thinking about killing themselves.

Many married heterosexuals have proved that marriage isn't sacred. There are so many single parents, divorced couples, and just unhappy marriages... the idea of calling marriage a sacred bond between a man and a woman is just ridiculous.
I think what a lot of conservative people are linking gay marriage with is gay sex. I understand, the idea sounds gross to people. But it's just the same as imagining having sex with somebody to whom you're not attracted. Gay couples aren't gonna spawn gay children. Most (I'm not ruling out artificial insemination) gay people are the offspring off a couple who have engaged in heterosexual sex. The opposing side should be offended and disgusted by themselves for giving birth to offspring that will live a lifetime of sin, according to their bible. Maybe they're just bitter.

I think marriage is a commitment that two people make when they feel like they love each other enough to spend the rest of their lives together (or... a commitment people make to get citizenship in this country). And sometimes marriages turn out real shitty and the people end up hating each other and they get divorced. Why not let gay people do that too?

People who say "the bible says this" or "The Constitution says this" are silly. Both have been changed over time. I don't think the bible is a credible source. Not everybody believes what is written in it, either, so it shouldn't dictate civil rights.
I think that if gay marriage isn't allowed, then I should be able to own a black slave, and women shouldn't be able to vote.

I think that gay or lesbian people should have the exact same rights as those in a female-male relationship. What makes them any different from the others? Not too much. They have no rights to say that a home with two people of the same sex is less loving and caring that any other (on the adoption matter) Plus, how can governments restrict when two intelligent writers, persay, of the same sex, who have been together for 20 years in a mature relationship cannot be legally married, but johnny spaghetti sauce can knock up some chick in highschool for kicks and they go and get hitched. It makes no sense. (That analogy, by the way, is by Seth MacFarlane)

I think it is wrong. Marriage is for a man and a woman. I have no problem with gay people loving each other. I have no problem with some sort of ceremony to honor that. But not marriage and the benefits that go along with marriage. I believe that before long, gays will be married, then weirdos will be marrying kids. Then freaks will want to marry animals and start doing sexual things to them, and where will it stop? The sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman needs to be protected...period!

To each his own. Two FREE adults. In a FREE country. Not hurting anyone else. The Lord doesn't even get a chance to wait
until the (so called) offender stands in front of him on judgement day. All the ( compassionate ) people are doing his judging for him.

It doesn't affect me, really. No one in my family is gay. My one friend who is has no immediate plans to get married (he knows it's possible, but he's just trying to find a date first).

I have no personal reason to fight for it or against it.

I choose to fight FOR it because I recognize that most people who are against it are not personally affected by it either. The only people who are affected personally are gay people themselves, and it seems to be a majority consensus among them that they WANT TO GET MARRIED.

If ignorant, meddlesome people are trying to stop them from being happy (without causing harm to anyone else), I will gladly fight on the side of pro-gay marriage.

well i was raised in a christian home and it is my belief that homosexuallity is an abomination of God. Human sexuallity is a gift from God in its purest form and is to be shared by a man and woman in the bonds of matramony.

I think if 2 consenting adults are in love, yeah, they should be allowed to get married, even if they are the same sex.
