Yes it is a wonderful place and I would highly recommend making the trip. She will have the time of her young life.
Not only do they have plenty of children's rides, they also have a place called Choc-late World. There you will board an electric train and it takes you on a trip throughout the factory.Fun for the whole family. You can see how choc-late is made, packaged and they even give you free samples after the trip.
Hershey Park is clean, very safe and a great atmosphere for children.
Inside the Park itself is also a place called Zoo America which is included in your fare. There they have every animal imaginable to view with Park Rangers guiding you and answering all your questions. It is similar to a walking safari.
Make sure you bring your cameras and corders she will never forget it.Neither will you.
I have hundreds of pictures taken from Hershey Park as well as nearby Gettysburg National Historic Park which was the last major offensive by the Confederate Army in July 1863 led by General Robert E Lee, also a must see.
Feel free to E-Mail me and I can show you some of the Pics.
Have fun and it does get hot there in July so be prepared and allow 2-3 days to really have fun as there is alot of area to cover as well as things to do.
ENJOY :p

As far as the rides are concerned....NO! But there is Hershey Chocolate World, where she can become a chocolate decorator, take a tour and watch how Hershey's chocolate is made. Then there is Christmas Candylane, but then it is cold and your whipping around on rides. They do have a kids section in the park, where they have miniversions of some of the big rides, but unless your child is the daughter of Yao Ming, she probably won't have the clearance for the height requirements. I didn't take my son to Hersheypark until he was 7. We always went to Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster. Then you have The Whitaker Center downtown Harrisburg (kids love it). hershey is only 15 minutes away from the Capital.

It is a great place for all ages. We take my neices & nephews once a year, for the last 4 years. The oldest is now 7. They love it there.
Hershey is now in the process of building the largest waterpark in the nation (maybe the world, I forget). It should be open by the time you go.

YES AND YES!
first of all, right now hershey park is doing "candy lane" the park is open at night and there are rides. it's 9.95 per person to get in and you can buy tickets online and print them at home, which is a much better deal. online at hersheypark.com, you go to "candy lane" and then buy online, they are called the holiday four pack and you will get four tickets, four free hot cocoas and four games of goblet toss. my family and i did that and it was awesome. the four pack comes to 36.00 or something like that with the taxes and you print the tickets up at home. if you don't need four , buy tickets online anyway, it's the same price as at the gate, but there is a much shorter line to wait in. we waited in line for less than 5 minutes when others were standing there for almost a half hour they told us. there are PLENTY of rides for her at this age. parking is 8.00 or if under two hours, it's free. oh, and they get to meet HUGE candy bars and get there pics with YOUR camera!!!
then there is chocolate world which is a free educational ride your daughter will love, before or after the ride (it's indoors) you can "make" hershey kisses and box them! on the ride they have cows singing! so cool!! chocolate world is free but they want you to buy stuff....don't fall prey if you don't want to!!!
then there is a thing called "sweet lights" this is a HUGE and i mean HUGE drive through display of christmas lights. don't let people push you too fast, get in the right lane and don't go more than 5MPH or you will miss some great things!!! we live 35-40 miles north of hershey and go every year. we usually wait until it snows to go to the sweet lights. they are awesome. they are 20.00 to drive through and up to eight people can be in the vehicle for that same price. your daughter will love that as well, my daughters are 6 and 5 and we have gone every year since they were babies.
it sounds like alot of money and it is, but to do it once a year is totally worth it!
hope this helps, if you need more info i will be glad to help, just email me. trust me, she will have a blast and don't forget the camera, it's a must.
