If you're in England you can get your fone unlocked for around £10 in mobile phone shops and local markets, don't know if this is available in Spain tho. Some sellers sell the links to unlock your fone on www.ebay.co.uk. But once unlocked it will accept all networks. Hope that helps!!

You can transfer Sim cards from other networks to other phones as long as the phone is unlocked no problem but you will be charged by that network.
So if you were to use a Spanish Sim card in a phone in the UK you will be charged as if you were making an international call even though the person could be in the next street.
Cheaper to buy a Sim card for the country you are in but of course the number will be different to normal one

All depends really... Spain and the UK seem to have similar phone networks and you probably COULD use it anyway but it would cost you more to call people IN the UK! I had this exact same problem when I moved to france and ended up just buying an Orange France sim cos It was all-round easier!
