and please dont have answers sayin both are good actors i know both of them are good actors just who do you think is the best of the two?

It is a good question - both actors have been in classics; Pacino - Godfather, Dog Day Afternoon, Serpico, and Scarface / DeNiro - Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter, Raging Bull, and Goodfellas.
...and both have been in bombs; Pacino - Author, Author, Frankie and Johnny, S1mone, Gigli; DeNiro - The King of Comedy, Cape Fear, Frankenstein, Jackie Brown, etc
Pacino has been credited with 47 films (since 1968), DeNiro has been credited with 77 films (since 1965).
I think DeNiro is the more versatile actor while Pacino is the more dynamic. Pacino, In 1992, finally won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his amazing performance in Scent of a Woman. In 1974 De Niro received an Academy Award for best supporting actor for his role in The Godfather: Part II (1974) and received Academy Award nomations for best actor in Taxi Driver (1976), The Deer Hunter (1978), and Cape Fear (1991). He won the best actor award in 1980 for Raging Bull (1980).
Overall I would pick DeNiro if only for his performance in "Raging Bull", one of greatest movies of all time! Although Pacino has been great in his own right.

De Niro...he is more versatile and has more top rated movies out.
However I named one of my dogs after an Al Pacino movie character, Carlito. Good movie but De Niro wins as best actor.

DeNiro hands down. IMO Pacino has become an over the top ham. DeNiro at least does that sort of acting with tongue firmly in cheek. He knows when he is playing a parody of himself. Pacino doesn't.

Good question - I'd go with Pacino myself, but that may only be because I happen to like his older movies better than De Nero's.
