But,
I haven't been in the gay scene much...My question is the following: Are there any lesbians who are looking really good and feminine? I mean, pretty girls who do shopping, buy nice purses, wear high heals etc. but just happen to be lesbians. I am sure they exist, and I know that this is a completely ignorant question (especially when it comes from a gay man) but I really havent seen any so far....all the lesbians I have met have either really short hair wearing baseball caps, or are the metal/punk style ones and generally quite butch. Are there actually any pretty, girly ones around? I havent even seen any in gay clubs...I know that most probably I just didnt see any personaly but I would like to know if there are many out there or just a small number of them...
Just curious here, and sorry again for this rather ignorant question. Thanks.

Portia DeRossi, Tammi Lynn Michaels, Leisha Hailey, Sara Gilbert- beautiful lesbians and actresses.
I personally have a friend who is a 'lipstick lesbian'. All the butches want her badly!

This really is a very ignorant question:are all gays stereotypes?
Do they all wear to tight jeans and have girlie hair or leather pants or overdo their behavior?
I am gay as hell and don't fit in any group.
I do guy stuff:like landscaping, designing and making gardens etc Love to go fishing:not a typical gay sport is it.
The picture you will see is not me:it is just a pretty actor:plucked from the Internet as a joke:never of my life received so many invitations to join chicks in 360:i send them all the same message:did you even bother to see my page?
That was completely besides the point.
Sorry
Where I live in Holland and go to any gay bar:there you will see two kinds:the girls that wanna look like boys and the super females:dressed to kill. But:here we are the most tolerant people you can find:remarks against us.are against the law.Racism is forbidden etc.We can get married under the exact same laws as straight people:and I can tell you if two girlie lesbians get married:they show it to all who can see it.And it isn't on the news ar all:it is all normal here.
And probably you go to the wrong places.
Change your scenery for a while:it might help.
Greetings:Rob./xxxx

OMG, yes. I am such a girly-girl. My most recent girlfriend was rather femme too. I tend to like more femme women, myself.
I love shopping, clothes, etc. There are a lot more out there. They just don't usually stick out so much in public because of our stereotypes about lesbians. Pretty girls have to be straight or maybe bi in most people's mind. It's not like you can pick lesbians out just by looking at them. I know some pretty butch looking women that are straight as a needle (no, really!) and they get picked on.
Just haven't been in the right places, I guess. You've probably met a few yourself, just haven't picked them out as being lesbian.

Im not a lesbian but I came to the conclusion that I may be bisexual...anyway Im very feminine, was a cheerleader in High School, love to shop, (I have more shoes and purses then anything lol)
You are right though I would love to find a girl who is similar to me to have some fun with. Im not into the butch looking girls but thats my personal preference. ( Im friends with butch looking girls though, in fact one of them is my best bud!)

Yes, they do exsist. But they are generally fewer for multiple reasons. As you well know the GLBT community has different standards of fashion, beauty, gender roles, etc. Women want to be themselves, those that are attract more dates than women who are phony. That's not to say that a woman in heels and makeup is being phony, just most women abhor those items, and will gladly shed them for a pair of comfy jeans. You also have to remember that makeup, heels, etc were created to impress and attract hetosexual men - why we would want to do that?

I maybe based, but I believe that both Gwen and I were "nice looking". We were both tall, near 6'.
We dressed neatly, wore low heeled shoes (no more than 2' high).
We wore gowns to the theater etc. Neither of us had short hair.

your logic is flawed by an assumption, isn't it? You see these women every day, yet you do not recognize them as being gay..! They appear as other females, dressed well, fem, hair done, etc. You expect only lesbians to dress in slacks or jeans..nonsense! I know the butchest of women, and many of them are straight! I know the most fem of women, and many of them are Gay. There is no rhyme or reason as to who is what, but in general, for every gay women who acts and dresses manly, there is a gay women who is as feminine as hell...bet on it!

My boss in collage reminded me of a pixie barbie doll and she was a lesbian. Maybe you should try different bars to get a more diverse group of ladies.
I mean, hanging out with one of my friends, I'd believe all gay men were leather daddies.
Get out more.
