I am a 26 year old man. My mother recently gave a me a white gold diamond ring that belonged to my Italian grandfather, who used to wear it on his right pinky finger everyday. He passed away over 20 years ago, but I wanted to wear it on my pinky finger in his memory. I understand that male pinky rings were typically associated with the mob, and by no means is that what I am trying to portray (my grandfather was a NJ cop). Is it in style for a young man to wear a pinky ring?

I was so tempted to write a smart ass answer to this then I read the rest of the question. I agree it's probably not in style but hey if you want to wear it do so, you have a valid reason i.e. it's not a fashion statement from you.

I had a female friend that had her grandmother's wedding ring set.She didn't want to wear it cuz everyone kept thinking she was married. She just put it on a nice chain and wears it as a necklace.

Not really, but if it was your grandfather's or something, maybe you could put it in a little glass box or something so you wouldn't lose it or break it. it would always be preserved for your grandpa.
