Hasselbeck had 3TDs,3INTs,and 157yds while Carr had 1TD,1INT,and 323yds last week so Carr wound up with more fantasy points.I know Oakland sucks but their problem isn't the defense.Denver"s D has slipped a bit lately but they're still pretty good. What should I do?

Start Hasselbeck, Hasselbeck has the better matchup against a 23rd ranked Broncos defense against the pass giving up 219.3 passing yards a game.

Carr has a bad matchup against the Oakland Raiders pass Defense, ranked first in the NFL, giving up only 156.5 yards a game.

Because of the Matchups I would start Hasselbeck over Carr in week 13.

I'd definitely start Carr against Oakland. Denver has a top defense, and the top cover guy in the league in Champ Bailey. Hasselbeck is still trying to find his groove after returning from injury, and has a bad sprain in his non-throwing hand that might affect him (e.g. fumbled snaps). Plus, facing a touch Denver D, Seattle might opt to rely on the recently returned Shaun Alexander to carry the load, meaning few throws for Hasselbeck.

Carr has been erratic this season, but Oakland's defense is not terribly good, and Andre Johnson has become a real top-flight receiver that nobody has been able to shut down this year, ensuring Carr at least a modest performance. I'd go with Carr.

tough call, Carr is a good QB, but remember that while Oakland's total defense is not good, their pass defense is amongst the best in the league. (you can look under the stats section at www.nfl.com) Also, with such a weak run D, I wouldn't be surprised if Houston ran more.

Hasselbeck is trying to find a groove, and Denver's pass D is good too, but I would go with Hasselbeck because Denver's D has to respect the run, and will focus on Alexander, thus opening up passing lanes.

Hasselbeck because Shaun Alexander ran the ball 40 times last week! Yow! Expect Holmgren to be pass happy and rest Alexander a bit.

Champ Baily is hands down the best cover man in football, but he can't cover everybody. He will alternate between Jackson and Branch, and whoever he is not covering will be open. Burleson and Jeremy Stevens are solid check downs and I just can't see them spreading the D to try and cover all the passing threats with a prime time back like Alexander coming off a great game.

Hasselbeck has a much better upside, roll with him.

I gotta agree with Gagan...

OAK defense can give people trouble. DENs D was pretty good at the first part of the year( I was switching out DEN and CHI D depending on the matchups) but around midseason they took a turn for the worst and haven't really recovered.

After Shaun's stellar show last week, you know DEN is going to have to focus on Shaun. Matt will have good opportunities to throw, play action, etc. with DEN keying on the run.

Hasselbeck, yeah Denver has a stout defense, but if you look at the ratings, Oakland apparently has the #1 pass defense in the league........

Hasselbeck is the man. That was his first game back, and no way Alexander carries 40 times this game. He will get you your numbers.

look, you recognize that MJD is going to get his touches and has significant upside any given week. Ridley is truly going adversarial to Denver Broncos and this may be the Manning-Brady teach. go away him on the bench. My in straight forward words replace might want to be both Colston or Wayne for Cruz. both the SD-NO sport are better ideal matchups than Cruz v. a sturdy Cleve. bypass 'D', besides the actual undeniable actuality that their shutdown nook, Haden, is out on suspension. i love Coulston because easily everyone passes on the Chargers and Drew Brees is doing the passing. it would want to also be better exciting for you having a participant on each and every area of that top-scoring sport the following day.
