Athens had some very interesting rules about who could vote and how they voted etc. I dont remember the specifics but you could present the ideas to your class then conduct an Athens-style "election" in your class, voting for representatives who will make decisions about a relavent school or local issue.

I guess this kinda falls into role play, but I would suggest you describe the ancient Greek philosophers by using their methods of teaching.
Hold a Socratic duologue
Talk about Plato's metaphors
etc..

You can re-enact the Last Supper. And make a mystery out of who betrayed Jesus. We all know who it is, but you can re-create it so it's a modern version. Clue meets the Da Vinci Code.
