i have a built in sd card slot on my computer (gateway laptop-xp sys)..i bought a micro sd and adapter to use with my lg8300.. after i put the card in my phone, it puases saying "initializing for like 5 sec every time i navigate through the menu "..also it says theres no avaliable memery on the card..its supose to be a 1 gb card....when i put the card adapter in my computer nothing happens..no options under removable devices, nor under device manager..the card also get extremly hot to the touch after i take it out...anybody no whats going on?!? thanx

maybe you have a bad driver inistalled
reinistall card reader driver and try again
if you have still problem try to use another card to find out your device works normally
if it dosent work your reader have a problem so show it to an administator

Could be a bad card, especially as it gets very hot. Sounds like an internal short. Take it back.
