Biggest Problems Facing Humanity

2016-11-02 23:54:25 · answer #2 · answered by aneshansley 4 · 0 0

In my opinion, everything that humans do is affecting the world no matter how big or small. Everything that humans do are the biggest problems we're facing. I mean, there's a little thing like making fun of someone else but we don't understand the toll we put on these people's shoulders about how they look, sound, etc. For example, teen girls go around calling each other fat (when their not) and it causes someone to be a bullemic or have an eating disorder. Climate change is a problem because soon there will be no more land for humans or animals to live on or to even survive. God placed humans here to look after the animals and to take care of nature but are we doing that? No, we're too busy and involved in our careers or other unimportant things. Obesity needs to be taken care of because we're losing people because they refuse to be healthy and live a healthy life. What's at least a few hours a day to work out, eat healthy meals for dinner (it's all food), instead of being extremely overweight and I'd hate to say it, but die a quick death. War is another problem which is huge in today's world for the obvious reasons involving George Bush but it goes deeper, trust me.
Take a nice hard look at everything around you and tell me what problems in everyday people or the way the world is ran or the way people treat each other or everything.

I beleive the biggest problem facing humanity is that popular culture in most leading nations of the world, has little, if any interest in intelectuality. We are comfortable being ignorant of matters of philosophy, art, literature, and even what is happening in other places that are not so close to home. I say leading nations because we are the nations that have the power to make the changes. (Also I make one more disclaimer before I continue, i say "nations" this includes European and Asian nations that have developed, I am not just singling out America and Americans.) This ignorance is what will ultimately lead to downfall, we cannot be stupid people, but i fear that society is pretty unintelligent. There are intellectual elites, yes, intelligence is somewhat genetic this I will not deny, but I refuse to accept that the majority of people are as imbecilic as they act in public. Today if I were to stand in circle with a group of my peers and began to talk about Plato and his criticisms of art and poetry, no one would know what i was talking about. I fear i would be told to shut up. This bothers me, Ignorance is the greatest problem facing humanity, it has caused mass deaths, it may even cause obesity, and climate change. Ignorance is not bliss, it is dangerous. I beleive Plato may have got it right when he said "Man...is a tame or civilized animal; never the less, he requires proper instruction and a fortunate nature, and then of all animals he becomes the most divine and most civilized; but if he be insufficiently or ill- educated he is the most savage of earthly creatures."

GREED.. notice how companies alone are so greedy! you know the 100,000 k isn't enought they want more and more and more and more untill we all are dead! lol
so they jack up prices and the poor is left without! the poor is with out because of someone who is running a greedy business who mostlikely makes more then the average 3 men combined!
so the greedy owner can't raise any more prices so he lays off a few people and give the other workers who where not laid off more duties so now you have some dude who has been with greedy company for x amount of years who is now doing someone else job with a low pay increase! or he got fired because this young fresh lad out of school is trying to get his foot in the door will accept any offer and will take his job for less money there for the greedy company now has more income! now he can put his buisness all over the place eg: mcdonlads! I have 5 mcdonalds with in my house all with in 5 miles from each other! stupid waste of money if you ask me! but hey i'm not running the stuff! and i guess those people need a job!
GREED WILL KILL US ALL! that's just the company greed not the personal greed!
personal greed isn't so world effecting! but it does have a small impact!
Mad luv

Friend - There is not just ONE answer. Climate change absolutely, change obesity to health issues worldwide, poverty, lack of good education, food production, apathy.

I would not say war only because war has always been. GBU

Rich getting Richer, Poor getting Poorer...

There should be a limit to the personal net worth one can obtain. After that number you must contribute to world issues 100%.
There is too much wealth in the same places, not enough everywhere else.
