Looking for a sample letter to my landlord to request moving from a 2 to a 3 bedroom apt?

Dear Mr. Landlord,

My mother is coming to live with me. My 2 bedroom apartment is really too small for the both of us. Would it be possible to move into a 3 bedroom unit before my lease expires? I'd be happy to sign a new lease if needed.

I've been there and done that. The best thing to do is to be pro-active by using a telephone. Keep calling you landlord. It will be more effective than a letter.
