As an up and coming City-what would be the least that you would pay for a property in this area? It has two bedrooms, lounge, kitchen.

You can get a house by that description in some parts of Salford for £65000 but these may need some work on them. £90000 with no work. (talking about terraced houses here and not too central)

Depends on the part of Salford you're talking about.

A luxury apartment in Salford Quays will fetch more than a 2 bed maisonette in Lower Broughton, next to the Kwik Save.

Estate agents will normally do a free estimate if they're planning to sell. Otherwise, keep an eye on the local papers and compare houses on the market to the property you're interested in.

The average price for a terraced house in Salford over the last year was £103,000 and for a semi £138,500.

Why not consult a local property valuer? Most do free appraisals in an attempt to get your business.
