A simple way to convert between degC and degF depends on the fact that -40C = -40F. Start by adding 40 to the temperature you wish to convert. 28 + 40 = 68.

Next, multiply by 5/9 if you want to go F--->C; or by 9/5 if you want to go C--->F. 68 x 9/5 = 122.4. Finally, you subtract the 40 again. 122.4 - 40 = 82.4.

All you really have to remember is that F-temperatures are bigger numbers than C-temperatures. So if you want to get a bigger number, multiply by 9/5, because that's more than one. If you want a smaller number, multiply by 5/9, because that's less than one.

celsius/5=(farenhiet-32)/9
28/5=(f-32)/9
9*5.6+32=f
50.4+32=f
f=82.4degrees
