My homosexual friends (still not politically correct; just love me like I am and don't JUDGE, l.o.l.)a few incidents of actual hatred and bigotry have come your way although it didn't seem to be coming from Christians and I'm not sure your reference of the Babtist fellow from KS. can be called a Christian? Not knowing of them simply means I wasn't a participant. Why the blanket statement and generalization that preaching the Word of God should be called "hate" and made illegal (violation of our religious and free speech rights), even if someone like the KS fellow is rather off the wall? This is hatred in reverse to take away the rights of Christians to publicly preach the Word (even if they are comedians like KS man) is it not? It's time to ask who is really hating and persecuting whom? It's not even illegal anymore to be a homosexual. This nation still suffers witches, adulterers, heathens, atheists, prostitutes to live in pursuit of peace and freedom yet they attack our liberties.

Suffers is a Biblical term meaning it is allowed to go without the death punishment as one time would have been attached to it. They are not satisfied to have the freedome to sin and that doesn't mean T.M.'er that we can cast the first stone. Somehow, the message of deliverance is being mis-delivered and misunderstoodl. I was saying also that it is not fair to put all of us in the same basket as the KS man and take away our liberties. Justify him? I said he was a comedian and not so much Christian. Did you read that part?

The Bible says the World would reach a time when mankind called evil good, and good evil. I believe we are in that time.
People under the deception of sin are well versed in justifying that sin.

Your "liberties" are just that! And too many Christians take far too great a liberty with their liberty, as many others do. Basically, I find that Fundamentalists to be arrogant beyond belief for they preach "their way is the only way."
Your defense of KS is abominable. You don't have a leg to stand on regardless of how you sugar coat these lunatics.
You speak of tolerance, yet in the same paragraph, "it's not even illegal anymore to be a homosexual." SOME TOLERANCE you have going on there. Get real, you are a persecuter standing on sand. I love the line, "SUFFERS witches, adulterers, heathens, atehists, prostitutes, ....." You, typical of so many Christians, are sitting there in judgement of all those about you...My, but you must be one holy person to be so perfect. There is a place for those like you, and by what I have read, it is not in heaven. You break God's laws by your very writing. "Judge NOT lest ye be judged." OR, do you deem yourself to be so sinless that you can cast the first stone? Amazing how your mind can justify all that you say and use God in the same sentence. You need to get a grip on reality. I would wish you good luck, but I think it would be wasted on such as yourself.

I'm a heathen, witch, and bisexual. I am just as human as you are- and yet, have you EVER seen a Wiccan going around saying "our way is the ONLY TRUE way?" No, you haven't. Yet I've had so many "Christians" try to convert/cure me that now I refuse to enter churces. I don't bloody feel safe in them and I'm sick of being told to turn from a Devil I don't believe in and that I'm going to a hell that I'm quite convinced doesn't exist.

Freedom means freedom for EVERYONE, not just the Christian right. And "the KS man" is NOT a fuqin comedian. He's telling people that people they LOVED deserved to die for being themselves. He's an a s s is what he is, and I hope he's reincarnated as a toilet seat.

I am not going deep into to it...but preaching the word of god is usually telling others what to do. Not caring whether they believe in your god or religion just because YOU think it is the right one, it is not freedom of speech. Going around telling people that everything they worked for, fought for, built, the love they share is a sodomy just because your 2000 years old book says so...I am sorry but we will need to shut you up one way or another. Just because christian psychopaths think they spread the word of god by spreading hatred according to their own agenta doesnt give them the freedom of speech. Whats next? A new religion that considers being black wrong because Adam and Eve were white, so they can go around telling black people to change their skin colour and if they have their asses kicked then there is no freedom of speech? Where do you draw the line in preaching? The way Christans preach is equivelant to gays coming and saying to straight people to become gay because it is better or cooler. This wouldnt be freedom of speech this would be idiotic.

OK, I re-read your post, and chose to edit my response:

You can say whatever you please, last I checked. There is a Baptist preacher named Fred Phelps in Topeka, KS. He has his own website, and his own church. The government does not prohibit him from stating and preaching his beliefs. I assume this is who you mean when you refer to the guy from KS.

Many people will object to what you say. For one thing you seem to be defending Fred Phelps - the "God hates f-ags" guy, as being just a little off the wall. You also seem to believe that freedom of speech means you can say whatever you please, and no one else has a right to voice a different opinion.

Even if someone reports you to yahoo, this is nothing to do with your legal right to free speech. That is, assuming yahoo does anything about it. Because you can always post any message you please on your own website. People do it all the time. There are even special newspapers for those who hate various groups of people. You will find that KKK organizations have their own publications, for instance.

To me the Bible is the most sacred document in the world. I know there are people of other faiths who have the same relationship to other documents and I respect that.

When a Christian will ignore all the factual information about misinterpretation of the Bible and continue to argue that it condemns homosexuals, that is a misuse of this sacred text.

The only reasons I can think of that someone would want to misuse this text is because they are too unintelligent to understand the scholarly writings on this issue OR they are filled with hate for these people.

I know for a fact that Christians aren't all stupid, so I have to assume that hate and fear are the driving factors.

Your right to preach the bible ends when it begins to interfere in MY rights. When you publicly denigrate a group of people who do nothing more than go against what your holy book supposedly says, precisely what do you think you are doing? It's called "oppression". You continue to fight against allowing homosexuals to marry, yet, you can't give one actual LEGAL reason they shouldn't. (BTW Procreation is not a requirement to marry or to remain married.)

Do you march in front of Muslim Mosques here in the US? In front of Jewish Temples? No? Why is that? Should they not be exposed to "the word of god" as well?

And BTW...the US doesn't "suffer" witches, adulterers, heathens, atheists, prostitutes and so on, it's their Constitutional Right as Law Abiding Citizens to live as they do. Try as you might to convince others, this nation was NOT founded upon Christianity(try reading article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli) and we have the right to live here, free from your religious harassment.
If your neighbor had a boom box and played Loud music night and day, you'd have them turn it down. Legally. Same difference here.

You're right. You poor Christians are soooo oppressed by the thought police, political correctness squad, and the gay mafia. Did you know that it's gotten so bad that some stores are even saying "Happy Holidays" now instead of "Merry Christmas"?!

But there is hope. Maybe, one day, a Christian will even get to be President! I know, it's still a long way off, but I dare to dream.

Discrimination takes many forms.
In NC this past week the Baptist State convention has stated that any Baptist church who accepts a homosexual as a member will be thrown out of the state convention. Is this the Christian way. Christ who hung out with prostitutes adulturers and thieves would deny to minister to homosexuals.
I don't think so.
I think God really doesnt see the difference between man and woman he just sees if we love each other as we love ourselves and that we love him with all our heart. The rest of the laws are based on these two.
God doesn't care about our sex life.
